Further to this news we are now right in the middle of charitable registration. We are building up a small team of founding Trustees (news on appointments will follow). This additional administrative workload has coincided with an ongoing, day by day increase in the number of parents coming to us for advice and support.
To put it at its simplest, we now find ourselves under resourced to cope with the quantity of enquiries we are getting.
The plan, of course, is to seek some funding support to allow us to increase our capacity to cope with the workload. But this is going to take time…
Until then, we have to try to limit the number of requests for support we receive. Our Panel of Experts in particular is at over-load stage.
There has never been more need for our advice service – too many parents and their children are really struggling. We have plans to increase the capacity of this free advice service moving forward, but for now we have to limit questions and answers to only the most urgent.
OnlyDads and OnlyMums are doing all they can to bring this service back up to full speed; it’s proving invaluable for so many families. But for now, we have to ask people to understand our predicament.
